TriCounty Feeds

TriCounty Feeds is the registered trademark for animal feeds produced in our two mill locations in Aylmer, Ontario and Thorndale, Ontario. Together with the help of Shur-Gain’s research and technology, TriCounty Feeds is able to provide customers with an effective, high quality feed at competitive prices. We believe in supporting our local farmers and producers, and so we strive to source our grains from as local as possible, as well as provide services such as daily feed deliveries and feed sampling.

Between our two mill locations, we are able to produce a large number of feeds in a variety of textures. The Thorndale mill, located at Thorndale Farm Supplies operates a computerized pellet mill, which is able to produce pelleted, crumbled and mash feeds as well as grinding and rolling grain, largely for hog, dairy, goat and poultry. The Aylmer mill, located at Elgin Feeds Ltd. Country Store, operates the only grist mill in Elgin County and is able to grind and roll grains, plus has a computerized molasses mixer for producing a variety of mash and textured feeds including horse, dairy, beef, goat and poultry. Shur-Gain

Shur-Gain is a brand of products produced by Trouw Nutrition, a Nutreco company, which sells directly to large-scale farms and dealer companies like Norwich Feeds. Shur-Gain was chosen as Norwich Feeds’ primary line of feed because: they are the only company in Canada that has research partnerships to test their products; Shur-Gain works hard to promote their feed program through dealers such as Norwich Feeds; they sell animal health products as well as their own line of pet foods; Shur-Gain is one of the largest feed producers in Ontario and is a well respected feed company throughout North America.
